- Team Members - Dr Jaehyun Park - Associate Professor - As a socio-technical researcher, Dr Park’s research interests are condensed into three genres as interdisciplinary studies: (1) UX & Service Design, Entrepreneurship, and Design Thinking; (2) Smart Tourism, Smart Cities, and Smart Work; and (3) Digital Innovation. - His research highlights exploring new interpretations of products, systems, and services, especially as they relate to the issue of human enterprise in design, innovation, and technology research. For successful business-design solutions, he believes that the most critical issue is to identify emerging relationships among business, design, and technology, and the human-centred approach is the core for successful design and innovations. - Based on this belief, his research has conducted diverse interdisciplinary research and teaching to deliver the values of the customer-centered design and innovation (CCDI) in information systems, design, and tourism & hospitality. - Fan Zhang (Jennifer) - Ph.D. Student (Sept. 2023-Present) - BEng in Environmental Design - Dalian University of Technology, China - MDes in Architecture & Environmental Design - Dalian University of Technology, China - Research Interest: Service Design, HCI, HRI (Human-Computer interaction), Ergonomics, Healthy Buildings - Sanqi Yang (Sandy) - Ph.D. Student (Sept. 2024-Present) - BA in Graphic Arts - University of Southampton, UK - MDes in Smart Service Design - the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, China - Research Interest: UX & Service Design, Digital Innovation & Service Robot, Service Ecosystem, Future Wellbeing - Chen Ni (Chen) - Ph.D. Student (Sept. 2025-Present) - BID in Industrial Design - Pratt Institute, US - MDes in Interaction Design - Carnegie Mellon University, US - Research Interest: UX & Service Design, Human-AI Collaboration, Multimodal Interaction - Lei Tang (Leo) - Ph.D. Student (Sept. 2025-Present) - BEng in Water Supply and Drainage Science - Beijing Forestry University, China - MDes in Smart Service Design - the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, China - Research Interest: UX & Service Design, Service Robot - Lei Yu (Miracle) - Ph.D. Student (Sept. 2025-Present) - BA in Product Design - Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, China - MSc in Integrated Industrial Design - Loughborough University, Loughborough, UK - Research Interest: Industrial, Interaction & Service Design, Robot, and Intelligent Interactive Products - Zihan Yu (Nancy) - Part-time Research Assistant - BA in Innovation Design - Central Academy of Fine Arts - MDes in Smart Service Design - the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, China - Research Interest: Service Design, Product Experience Design - Ji Huang (Claire) - Part-time Research Assistant - BA in Service Design - the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, China - Research Interest: Service Design, User Research, Marketing - Junrong Lu (Jarvis) - Part-time Research Assistant - MDes Student (Sept. 2025 - Present) - BA in Industrial Design - China Academy of Arts, Hangzhou, China - MDes in Smart Service Design - the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, China - Research Interest: UX & System Design, Digital innovation & Service Robot, Digital Ecosystems
